Open Captioning

The University of Phoenix Stadium is equipped to offer open captioning for our patrons. The Open Captioning screens are located on the Stadium’s two (2) main scoreboards (north and south ends of the facility). Open captioning is automatically provided at the Stadium for larger sporting events that utilize the stadium’s public address system, including Arizona Cardinals games, The Fiesta Bowl, BCS games, The Super Bowl, College Football games, and Soccer matches.  For smaller sporting events that utilize the public address system open captioning is available by request.  To request open captioning, or to consult with stadium staff about appropriate communication aids/services, please contact our Guest Services Department at (623) 433-7139 or email mgabel@universityofphoenixstadium.com.

Requests for open captioning should be made a minimum of two (2) weeks prior to the event.  Regardless of the date of request, stadium staff will make good faith efforts to provide effective communication aids or services for our guests.

Smartphone Closed Captioning

University of Phoenix Stadium is equipped to offer smartphone closed captioning for our patrons. Smartphone closed captioning is automatically provided at the stadium for larger sporting events that utilize the stadium’s public address system including Arizona Cardinals games, the Fiesta Bowl, BCS games, the Super Bowl, college football games, and soccer matches. MobileCap (www.mobilecap.net) is the application providing the streaming text feed of the stadium’s sound system. Guests are welcome to check-out and use a closed captioning smartphone from Guest Services or determine if MobileCap can be used on their own smartphone. Closed caption smartphones are available for check-out at the Guest Services location at Gate 1 only. Fans will be asked to leave a valid driver’s license or other form of identification when the closed caption smartphone is checked out.  

Using MobileCAP with your own smartphone:
Open a web browser and navigate to www.mobilecap.net
From mobileCAP login screen, enter:
“UOP” in the Name field
“1533” in the Event ID field
Select Join to view the closed captioning feed
(Please note – MobileCap currently runs on most smartphones including Droid, iPhone & BlackBerry Torch, data charges may apply)

Using MobileCAP with a stadium rental smartphone:
On the home screen, press the red MobileCAP icon on the screen
From mobileCAP login screen, enter:
“UOP” in the Name field
“1533” in the Event ID field
Select Join to view the closed captioning feed

Assistive Listening Devices

Assistive Listening Devices (ALD’s) are available at all four Guest Services locations (by Sections 104, 123, 417 & 448.) Fans will be asked to leave a valid driver’s license or other form of identification when the ALD is checked out.  

Disability Parking

All Sportsman's Park carparks and other Cardinals game day parking lots have signed disabled parking spots over 2,000 in all. Vehicles must have a valid Cardinals parking hangtag to enter these parking areas. Please contact the Arizona Cardinals Box Office at (602) 379-0102 for more information.  For mega events, including the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, please contact the respective organization in charge of the event.

Disability Seating

Disabled seating is located on all three concourses at University of Phoenix Stadium, including all lofts and field boxes. All levels can be accessed by the elevators located near the five stadium entrance locations. One power outlet is available at each disabled seating platform for the use of guests with electric wheelchairs and other medical equipment.

Restrooms

There are 77 restrooms located throughout University of Phoenix Stadium. All men, women and family restrooms are ADA accessible and equipped with a baby-changing table. Please ask any staff member for directions to the closest restroom.

Sign Language Interpreters

University of Phoenix Stadium is happy to make arrangements for interpretive services for our hearing impaired guests. Interpreters can be arranged by contacting our Guest Services Department at 623-433-7120. Requests should be made a minimum of two (2) weeks prior to the event.

Wheelchair Assistance (Game Day)

The University of Phoenix Stadium is pleased to provide appropriate wheelchair assistance for mobility impaired guests. Wheelchair assistance is available to guests once they have entered the stadium. It is scheduled on a first-come, first-served, basis. Requests for wheelchair assistance can be made by asking a stadium staff member or by visiting a Guest Services Booth. University of Phoenix Stadium will provide wheelchairs, and a staff member to escort guests to their seats, but it is requested that mobility impaired patrons be accompanied by another adult in their party. Upon arrival at the seating location, guests are required to surrender wheelchairs to stadium staff. Stadium provided wheelchairs may not be used as temporary seating for events, as they are needed for use by other mobility impaired guests. To make arrangements for post-event wheelchair assistance, guests are asked to fill out a Wheelchair Escort Request Form stating their desired pick up time and location. Wheelchair Escort Forms are available at all stadium Guest Services Booths. When exiting the stadium guests will be brought to the exterior glass doors on the stadium's main concourse level. All requests for wheelchair escorts are accommodated on a first-come, first-served, basis. A short wait time may be required.
