38th Annual Tostitos Fiesta Bowl - Ohio State vs. Texas

DATE:   Today, Monday Jan. 5, 2009

Event Time:      Pregame: 5:40 p.m. MST

                        Kick Off: 6:00 p.m. MST

Event details:

As a member of the Bowl Championship Series, The Tostitos Fiesta Bowl has the opportunity to host the champion of the Big 12 Conference as well as another one of the nation's top college football teams.  The 38th Annual Tostitos Fiesta Bowl will be televised on FOX.

Team Information

Ohio State will wear its white jerseys and use the west bench on game day. Texas will wear its dark jerseys and use the east bench on game day.

The Match-Up

Ohio State and Texas meet for the third time in history with the series tied one game apiece. The Longhorns won the first meeting, 25-22, on Sept. 10, 2005, in Columbus, while the Buckeyes won the second meeting, 24-7, on Sept. 9, 2006, in Austin.

This Season

Ohio State finished the regular season 10-2 and earned a share of the Big Ten Championship for the fourth consecutive year. The Buckeyes will be making their seventh trip to a BCS bowl game (4-2 record). Texas finished the regular season 11-1, extending the NCAA-leading and school record mark of at least 10 wins in eight straight seasons. College Football's Biggest Party

DATES:   Monday, January 5

Event Time: 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Tickets: Tickets are $20

Location: Glendale Youth Sports Complex – South East Side of University of Phoenix Stadium

Event Details: Annually attracting tens of thousands of fans, College Football’s Biggest Party is an action-packed celebration full of the ultimate tailgate experience. Crazed sports fanatics will gear-up for the big game while enjoying pep rallies, performances by the university marching bands, cheerleaders, Jumbotrons to watch the preceding bowl games, interactive games and food and beverage booths. Ticket prices include a plated meal.

Northwest Valley Boot Camp

DATES:   Monday's & Wednesdays, January 12-28

Event Time: 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Tickets: The price for the two day camp for four weeks is $160.

Event Details: Fitness experts are available for interviews about the camp through the Global Spectrum marketing department.  Women and men of all fitness levels, sizes and ages are obtaining great results with Northwest Valley Boot Camp.  If the public is looking to jump-start to their fitness program, then this camp is for them.  Whether they are a beginner, an avid fitness enthusiast, or just tired of the same routine they are welcome to try this whole new approach to exercise...fun!

Exercises include: core conditioning, short distance running (less than one mile), muscular strength, jumping rope, circuit training, hiking, sport yoga, fitness kickboxing, Pilates, sports drills, obstacle courses and more.

Public Stadium Tours

DATES:   Thurs.-Sat. all month

Tour schedule: 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. 2:30 p.m.

Tickets: $7.00 Adults, $5.00 Children (ages four - 12), Seniors (ages 65 and over) and Military (with ID), Children three and under are free
