Guests 24 months of age and older are required to have a ticket for admission to most stadium events. Infants under 24 months of age may sit in a ticket holder’s lap so long as they do not obstruct the view of others nearby. For Arizona Cardinals games a lap pass must be obtained from stadium security personnel once the adult’s ticket is scanned upon entry.



So that your fellow Cardinals fans do not miss any of the action on the field, University of Phoenix Stadium staff will ask fans on the main and club concourse to wait at the top of the aisle until the end of a play to return to their seats. This “Wait for the Whistle” policy will be enforced throughout the game and your cooperation is appreciated.


University of Phoenix Stadium and our partners strongly encourage the responsible consumption of alcoholic beverages. The stadium’s alcohol policies are:

  • No outside alcoholic beverages are permitted. Guests in possession of outside alcoholic beverages will be ejected without refund.
  • Arizona law prohibits the sale of alcoholic beverages to persons under the age of 21. NFL policy requires that all guests, regardless of age, are required to show valid ID when purchasing alcoholic beverages. Identification cards that appear to be fraudulent will be turned over to law enforcement officials
  • The sale of alcoholic beverages will conclude at the end of the third quarter of NFL games. Cut off times will be determined for other events on a case-by-case basis.
  • There is a two-alcoholic beverage limit per transaction at all concession stands.
  • Alcoholic beverages are prohibited in the Family Sections (Alcohol-Free seating areas at Sections 114, 424 & 432) during Cardinals games.
  • Guests passing or providing alcohol to minors will be ejected and subject to arrest.
  • Guests possessing alcohol, who do not have proof of being 21, may be ejected.
  • Stadium management reserves the right to refuse the sale of alcohol to any person.
  • Any guest showing signs of impairment and/or intoxication will not be allowed to enter or will be removed from the stadium and subject to arrest.
  • Stadium management reserves the right to change any of these policies at any time and without notice.
  • Don’t drink and drive. Have a designated driver, take an Uber or a cab. Don’t get behind the wheel.


Guide, signal and service animals are allowed inside University of Phoenix Stadium with fans that need their assistance. No pets or other animals are permitted.

Arizona Sports and Tourism Authority (AZSTA)

The Arizona Sports and Tourism Authority (AZSTA) is a Municipal Corporation dedicated to enhancing our economy and the community's quality of life through the development of professional and amateur sports facilities, the attraction of entertainment, sporting, and business events, and through tourism promotion.

AZSTA was created through an Act of the State Legislature (SB 1220) and referred to the voters of Maricopa County (Proposition 302), which was approved on November 7, 2000. It is the responsibility of AZSTA to oversee design and construction of the stadium and to own and operate the facility.

In addition, AZSTA is also responsible for distributing public funds generated by an increase in the tax on hotel beds and rental cars to additional stakeholders identified in Proposition 302, namely, youth and amateur sports, tourism promotion and Cactus League baseball.

AZSTA is overseen by a nine-member board of directors, all of whom are volunteers and appointed by the Governor, the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House.


ATM’s are located on the main concourse at sections 104 & 123, Gila River Casinos Club concourse at sections 216 & 233 and the Terrace concourse at sections 416 & 448, along with additional portable ATM’s throughout the stadium.


If you encounter car troubles at the end of a football game, please raise the hood on your vehicle or call 623-433-7156. Our parking staff will dispatch a service vehicle to help resolve the situation, or contact a local repair service to assist.

Baby Changing Stations

Baby changing stations are available in all stadium restrooms and family restrooms are located on each level.

Bag Policy & Restrictions

The stadium & NFL clear bag policy strictly limits the size and types of bags that are permitted. Backpacks, purses (other than small clutches), and diaper bags are not permitted.University of Phoenix Stadium strongly encourages fans to not bring any bags, however the following will be permitted:

  • Each fan may carry one bag that is clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC no larger than 12” x 6” x 12” or
  • A one-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar).
  • In addition to one of the clear bags noted above, fans may also carry in a small clutch purse/bag measuring no larger than 4.5"x 6.5" with or without a handle or strap, subject to search.
  • Each ticket holder, including children, will be able to carry an approved clear bag and a clutch purse.
  • Diapers and wipes can be carried in approved clear bags (diaper bags are not permitted)


Cardinals fans are encouraged to show their support and may bring handheld signs to Sportsman’s Park and University of Phoenix Stadium, provided they are football related and in good taste as determined by stadium security. Signs cannot be commercial, political or obscene in nature. Signs may not be affixed or hung anywhere within University of Phoenix Stadium. Signs may not be displayed in a manner that obstructs other fans’ views of the game or stadium scoreboards/advertising signage. The signs must be made of a paper or lightweight cloth-like material. Signs cannot utilize wood, metal or similar types of materials for support. Maximum dimensions of a sign are three feet by two feet. Signage not permitted within Sportsman’s Park or inside the stadium will be disposed of by stadium security unless the guest wishes to return it to their vehicle.

Bottles & Cans

Guests will not be allowed to bring any type of bottle, can, thermos or beverage container inside the stadium. However, fans will be allowed to bring one (1) factory-sealed, non-frozen 500mL (16.9 fl. Oz.) bottle of water (no soda, flavored water or sports drinks.) Parents with small children may also bring plastic bottles of formula or milk inside of the stadium.

Cameras / Video Recorders

Guests may bring personal still-photo cameras to capture the special moments from their visit to University of Phoenix Stadium. Feel free to ask any stadium staff member to snap a picture of your group. The following items are not permitted inside the stadium: Video cameras, mono/tripods and professional cameras with zoom lenses greater than 200mm or larger than eight inches in length. Please note video recording by any device is prohibited within the stadium and Sportsman’s Park, without prior written consent of the Arizona Cardinals and stadium management.

Cardinals Code of Conduct

The Arizona Cardinals Code of Conduct was developed so that all guests attending games and other events can do so in a safe and enjoyable environment. Ticket holders who violate the Code of Conduct provisions will face ejection from the stadium along with possible arrest.

Cardinals Team Shop

The Cardinals Team Shop at University of Phoenix Stadium is located on the Main Concourse (100 Level) across from section 132. The team shop is open year round, with daily (non-event) hours Monday through Saturday from 10 AM.- 6 PM. On game days, the store is open starting at 9 AM with access permitted by ticketed fans only once stadium gates open.

Cellular Service

Verizon and other major providers have installed an on-site distributed antenna system (DAS) at University of Phoenix Stadium for the purpose of strengthening cellular coverage at the stadium. Fans are reminded to make sure their cell phone conversations are not disruptive to the others seated around them.

Chewing Tobacco

The use of chewing tobacco is prohibited inside University of Phoenix Stadium.

Child Locator Wristbands

Our young Cardinals fans are encouraged to stop by a Guest Services Office and pick up a Child Locator Wristband. The child’s ticket location or contact phone number can be written on the wristband in the event a child gets separated from their party. The Guest Services offices are located along the main concourse (near Sections 104 & 123) and upper concourse (Sections 417 & 448.)

Designated Driver Program

The Arizona Cardinals & University of Phoenix Stadium, Bud Light, Coca-Cola, Rojo Hospitality Group, Arizona Department of Highway Safety and Hensley have teamed up to implement the “Good Sport” Designated Driver Program. In making the commitment to serve as a designated driver, fans 21 years of age or older with a valid driver’s license will receive a coupon for one soft drink or nonalcoholic beer. Designated drivers also have the opportunity to win prizes each game and are eligible for a grand prize which will be presented on field at the final regular season home game. Fans can sign up for the program pre-game on the Great Lawn as well as inside the stadium at the 100 and 400 Level Guest Relations offices and Club Level concierge locations.


Elevators are located near the three (3) public and two (2) Gila River Casinos Club entrances . The location and availability of elevators are:

  • Hyundai Gate 1 – Working Media and fans with disabilities.
  • Gila River Casinos Club West – Loft ticket holders and Club seat fans with disabilities
  • University of Phoenix Gate 2 – Fans with disabilities.
  • Gila River Casinos Club East – Loft ticket holders and Club seat fans with disabilities.
  • Bud Light Gate 3 – Fans with disabilities.

Emergency Situations

Fans should record their section, row, and seat numbers at home and office. If an emergency arises during the game, please call the University of Phoenix Stadium Security Command Center at 623/433-7156 with the seating information and a stadium staff member will be sent to that location. Per stadium policy, announcements will not be made over the public address system to locate guests.


Escalators are located adjacent to the three (3) public and two (2) Gila River Casinos Club entrances. The escalators located directly inside Gates 1 & 3 allow fans access to the Club Level and Terrace concourse. The escalators located at Gate 2 provide fans with direct access to the Terrace concourse only. The escalators at the Gila River Casinos Club West and Gila River Casinos Club East entrances are reserved for Club and Loft ticket holders and access the Club level only. The escalators will run in the upwards direction through halftime and change to the downward direction during the second half to speed exiting at the conclusion of the game.

Family Restrooms

There are a total of 12 family restrooms for use by parents with small children and disabled guests. All family restrooms are outfitted with baby-changing tables and are ADA accessible. Family restrooms are located on the main concourse (near Sections 102, 114, 124 & 136), club concourse (near Sections 204, 219, 230 & 247) and terrace concourse (near Sections 404, 421, 435 & 454.)

Family Sections (Alcohol Free)

During Arizona Cardinals games, Sections 114, 424 & 432 are designated as “Family Sections”. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted in these sections during Cardinals games.

Field Access

Only authorized personnel will be permitted on the field prior to, during, and after the game. Any unauthorized persons gaining access to the field will be removed, ejected, and subject to prosecution and/or fine as well as loss of any season ticket privileges.

First Aid

The stadium has four First Aid locations available to assist fans throughout events. The First Aid offices are located along the main concourse (near Sections 122 & 136) and terrace concourse (near Sections 416 & 448). If immediate assistance is required please engage stadium security or uniformed law enforcement officers.

Food and Beverages

Outside food and beverage is prohibited inside University of Phoenix Stadium with the exception of:
  • One (1) factory-sealed, non-frozen 500mL (16.9 fl. Oz.) plain bottle of water (sports drinks and flavored water is not permitted)
  • Food and beverage items for infants two years of age or younger.
University of Phoenix Stadium offers a variety of game day favorites and local cuisine. Concession stands are located throughout the stadium. All major credit cards are accepted, including at most portable locations.

Gates Opening Times

During Cardinals games, the Gila River Casinos Club West and Gila River Casinos Club East entrance gates open 3 hours and 15 minutes prior to kickoff for Club and Loft ticket holders. The three (3) public entrance gates open 90 minutes prior to kickoff for all ticket holders. Gate opening times for non-Cardinals events are subject to change. Please check the event information page on the stadium website to confirm gate opening times for other events.

Gila River Casinos Club Lounges

The Gila River Casinos Club Lounges are located on the 200 Level of the stadium on both the east (227-248) and west (201-222) sidelines. Both Loft ticket holders and guests with tickets in either of the Club Lounges are permitted to access the clubs during an event. Access to the Club Lounges should be from Club West entrance (northwest side) or Club East entrance (east side). Club and Loft ticket holders are also permitted to enter the stadium through main Gates 1, 2 and 3 as well.

Guest Service Offices

Guest Service Centers are located along the main concourse (near Sections 104 & 123) and upper concourse (Sections 417 & 448.) Fans may obtain information or assistance at any Guest Service Office at the stadium.

Laser Pointers

Laser pointers are considered a prohibited item at University of Phoenix Stadium and are subject to confiscation if brought inside the facility.

Lost and Found

If during your visit to the stadium you misplace an item or find something that belongs to another guest, please visit one of the Guest Services Offices. Claim forms are available to report missing items. Fans inquiring about lost items should call the 24/7 Command Center at (623) 433-7147. Items lost at prior games are held in storage for 30 days and then are donated to a local charity. The Arizona Cardinals and University of Phoenix Stadium cannot be held responsible for lost or damaged items.

Lofts (suites)

University of Phoenix Stadium has 88 Lofts (suites) providing the ultimate in premium seating experiences. For more information on Lofts for Cardinals games, please call (602) 379-0102. For most major ticketed events, including Cardinals games, credentialed members of the media will enter the building at the Media Entrance located to the south of Gate 1.



Official Arizona Cardinals team merchandise is available at the Team Shop, next to Gate 2 on the main concourse level. The Team Shop is open on game days for ticket holders and non-game days for all. On Cardinals game days, there are additional merchandise stands on the main concourse (near Sections 101, 104, 111, 115, 126, 134 & 137), club level (near Sections 217 & 232) and terrace concourse (near Sections 408, 423 & 440). Motorized Vehicles

Motorized vehicles of any type are not permitted on sidewalks or on exterior plaza areas of University of Phoenix Stadium. Motorized vehicles include, but are not limited to cars, trucks, mopeds, scooters, motorcycles and ATV’s. All motorized vehicles must be parked in designated parking spaces at University of Phoenix Stadium.

Noise Making Devices

Musical instruments or any types of noise making devices are not permitted inside University of Phoenix Stadium. This includes, but is not limited to, items like air horns, cowbells, whistles, and vuvuzelas.

Open Captioning

The University of Phoenix Stadium is in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act in providing open captioning service for the stadium public address system. Open captioning is displayed below the stadium’s north and south video boards. Open captioning is automatically provided for larger sporting events that utilize the stadium’s public address system including Arizona Cardinals games and the Fiesta Bowl. In addition, open captioning is available via smart phones which are available free of charge at the Gate 1 Guest Services office (across from Section 104). For smaller sporting events that utilize the public address system open captioning is available by request. To request open captioning, or to consult with stadium staff about appropriate communication aids/services, please contact our Guest Services Department at (623) 433-7120 or email bfinochiaro@universityofphoenixstadium.com. Requests for open captioning should be made a minimum of two (2) weeks prior to the event.

Payphones / TDD Phone

University of Phoenix Stadium does not have any payphones available to fans. However, fans can request the use of a phone at any of the four Guest Services Offices if needed. A TDD phone for hearing and speech impaired fans is located at the Guest Services Office next to Gate 1.

Premium Seating

University of Phoenix Stadium offers a number of premium seating options including Private Lofts, Party Lofts, Field Boxes, and Club Seats with some of the best sight lines in the stadium, full-service catering, elevator and escalator service from premium seat entrances and many other amenities. Prohibited Items

Guests are reminded that certain prohibited items will not be permitted inside the stadium. There are no provisions to store items not allowed inside and items cannot be held by security staff members.

Radio Controlled Aircraft

Radio controlled model aircraft, unmanned aircraft systems, drones, and other devices are prohibited at University of Phoenix Stadium and within all game day parking areas. Possession or operation of such devices will result in immediate ejection from the area and potential law enforcement intervention.


University of Phoenix Stadium encourages all of our guests to reduce, reuse, and recycle. Recycling containers are located throughout all areas and levels of the stadium for guests to dispose of any recyclable materials including plastic, glass, and aluminum. Recycling containers are also located outside the stadium, adjacent to parking areas, and by stadium gates. Please check signage on recycling containers to ensure you are recycling the proper items.

Re-Entry Policy

University of Phoenix Stadium has a NO RE-ENTRY policy. Ticketed guests who leave the building are NOT permitted to re-enter with a previously scanned ticket.


There are 50 restrooms located throughout University of Phoenix Stadium. All men, women and family restrooms are ADA accessible and equipped with a baby-changing table. Please ask any staff member for directions to the closest restroom.

Retractable Roof Movement

The position of the roof at University of Phoenix Stadium will be determined on game/event day. For Cardinals games fans can call the Cardinals Roof Hotline at (623) 433-7663 on their way to the stadium to find out if the roof will be open or closed.

Security Procedures

For most major ticketed events, all fans will be subject to security screening prior to entry inside University of Phoenix Stadium along with inspection of all bags and carry-in items. Magnetometers will be used to screen all fans at the security checkpoints. Prior to the screening, fans will be asked to remove all metal from their pockets and person. If a fan does not feel comfortable with the metal detector screening due to medical reasons, a physical pat-down will be conducted instead. Please have all bags open for security staff and be prepared to remove any item from inside the bag if requested for closer inspection. Fans electing not to consent to the metal detector screening or physical pat-down along with a bag search will be denied entry inside University of Phoenix Stadium. Security checkpoints are the busiest during the 30 minutes leading up to the event start time, guests are encouraged to enter early.


Skateboarding / Rollerblading

Skateboarding and rollerblading is not permitted within University of Phoenix Stadium, Tillman Plaza, or Sportsman’s Park. “Roller Shoes,” which are athletic shoes with retractable wheels, are also not allowed.

University of Phoenix Stadium is a non-smoking facility. Designated smoking areas on the main concourse are located at Gate 2 and outside the exit doors at sections 102 and 137. Guests on the Club, Loft, and Terrace levels can proceed to designated smoking locations on the north entry/exit ramp. Guests smoking outside the stadium must remain 20 feet away from any entry/exit doors. E-cigarettes or vaporizer pens are not permitted inside the stadium. Smoking in a non-designated area will result in ejection from the stadium without refund.

Solicitation / Literature

Guests should be aware that the distribution of business cards, commercial advertising, flyers, handbills, leaflets, posters, stickers or any other written, printed and/or painted materials is prohibited at University of Phoenix Stadium and throughout Sportsman’s Park.


University of Phoenix Stadium guests are asked to enjoy the events from the comfort of the seat that is indicated on their ticket. It is not our intent to limit guest’s enjoyment of events, and cheering after great plays, but continuous or excessive standing in seating areas, or standing on seats, will not be tolerated. Please follow the directions of ushers and security.


University of Phoenix Stadium welcomes guests with strollers. However, their use should not in any way inhibit fan movement or block any aisles. Smaller, umbrella-style strollers can be stored underneath a seat as long as it does not create an obstruction for other fans. Larger strollers should be checked at the nearest Guest Services Office.

Ticket Office

Located between Gate 2 and the Gila River Club East entrance gate, the University of Phoenix Stadium Ticket Office windows opens three (3) hours prior to kickoff on Cardinals gamedays. Ticketmaster Will Call can be claimed here with a valid state of government photo ID. Tickets for other stadium events and public tours can also be purchased here. Normal Ticket Office hours are M-F 10am-6pm, Sat 10am-2:30pm. Ticket Office hours vary for non-cardinals events. Please call (602) 379-0102 to confirm hours of operation

Ticket Re-Sale / Scalping

The resale of event tickets, regardless of price, is prohibited at University of Phoenix Stadium and throughout Sportsman’s Park. Guests that purchase tickets from someone other than the stadium ticket office or Ticketmaster do so at their own risk and those tickets could be counterfeit. The University of Phoenix Stadium and Arizona Cardinals are not responsible for and will not provide a replacement or refund of any kind for invalid tickets purchased through a secondary ticket provider.

Tours of University of Phoenix Stadium

Public guided tours of the stadium are normally available Thursday-Saturday, 3 times per day (tour schedule subject to change). The 75 minute experience involves approximately 1 mile of walking throughout the facility along with a video presentation about the stadium’s construction and history. Tailgating (pre-event only)

Pre-event tailgating is allowed in stadium lots for most events. Pre-game tailgating for Cardinals events is allowed in Sportsman’s Park carparks starting four (4) hours prior to kickoff. Please respect fellow fans by only occupying one parking stall. Tailgating should take place directly behind your vehicle or in adjacent landscape areas only. You may not block other stalls, walkways or any aisle ways with tents, trailers, chairs, coolers or barbecues, except as allowed in designated tailgate areas. Saving other parking spaces is not allowed at any time. Fans who want to tailgate together must arrive together. Tailgating activities at Cardinals games are allowed from when Carparks open until kickoff only. Sportsman’s Park carparks close one (1) hour after the game or event. Video Boards

Installed in 2014 by Daktronics, the new South video display measures 58 feet high by 164 feet wide providing 9,512 square feet of live video and replays. Incorporating a 13HD pixel layout for crisp and clear imagery, the display includes high contrast technology for the best in image quality and wide viewing angles to appeal to every seat in the stadium.


Guests are not permitted to bring firearms or any other weapons inside University of Phoenix Stadium. In accordance with Arizona House Bill 2457, law enforcement officials attending an event are permitted to bring a firearm inside the stadium if he/she is in compliance with the Arizona peace officer standards and training board requirements.

Will Call

The Will Call windows are located at the Stadium Ticket Office, to the east of Gate 2. The Ticket Office is open three hours prior to kickoff for Cardinals games and closes at halftime. Will Call tickets can be claimed only by the person whose name appears on the will call envelope. State or government picture ID is required. Ticket Office and Will Call hours vary for non-cardinals events. Wheelchair Assistance (Event Day)

The University of Phoenix Stadium is pleased to provide wheelchair assistance for mobility impaired guests. Wheelchair assistance is available to guests once they have entered the stadium. It is scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Requests for wheelchair assistance can be made by asking a stadium staff member or by visiting a Guest Services Office (located near Sections 104, 123, 417 and 448).

The stadium will provide wheelchairs, and a staff member to escort guests to their seats, but it is requested that mobility impaired patrons be accompanied by another adult in their party. Upon arrival at the seating location, guests are required to surrender wheelchairs to stadium staff. Stadium provided wheelchairs may not be used as temporary seating for events. To make arrangements for post-event wheelchair assistance, guests are asked to fill out a wheelchair escort request form stating their desired pick-up time and location. Wheelchair escort request forms are available at all stadium Guest Services Offices. When exiting the stadium guests will be brought to the exterior glass doors on the stadium's main concourse level. All requests for wheelchair escorts are accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis. A short wait time may be required. For more information about ADA accommodations click here.
